The first day of the Abu Dhabi Pirelli testing has come to an end. The teams were testing the 2020 Pirelli rubber and in total clocked up over 1200 laps. The data will be used for next season along with the results from tomorrow's session as well.
Valtteri Bottas drove the fastest lap in his W10, with Sebastian Vettel and Daniil Kvyat behind him. With 138 laps behind his name, Bottas clocked up a lot of milage but it was Max Verstappen who drove the furthest in his RB15 today. Red Bull Racing teammate Alexander Albon will drive tomorrow.
The testing was largely uneventful but there was a moment at the end of the session, with Sergio Perez tapping Sebastian Vettel who then spun, but continued on his way.
Teams will get ready for tomorrow's session where they will look to clock up some more miles and learn more about the new rubber and their cars.
