Steiner chooses between Verstappen and Hamilton: 'He has the talent'

It is a question that people are regularly asked, but not always keen to answer: Max Verstappen or Lewis Hamilton? Guenther Steiner, however, is not afraid to answer that question and reveals which of the two Formula 1 champions he would prefer to see driving a Haas.

If the Haas team boss could choose between Verstappen and Hamilton to join his team, he has a clear answer ready. "Max. He’s just on a roll at the moment. He cannot do anything wrong. My opinion," Steiner said in conversation with Sky Sports.

He continues: "Everything he does sticks so you want to go with the guy which has got the luck attacked to him. And he has got the talent, obviously." A clear answer from Steiner, although the always outspoken team boss will have to wait a few more years before Verstappen's current contract at Red Bull Racing ends.

Currently no former F1 world champions drive for Haas, but the returning Nico Hulkenberg is doing good business for the American racing team. So far, he managed to collect nine points, three of which he grabbed in the Austrian Grand Prix. Teammate Kevin Magnussen has two points behind his name.
