The organisers of the Mexican Grand Prix have a special reward in store for the driver who qualifies on pole position. The driver who sets the fastest time on Saturday will receive a helmet of Formula 1 legend Juan Manuel Fangio, presented to him by another motor racing legend: Sir Jackie Stewart.
It is a certified replica of the helmet with which Fangio secured his first world title. The helmet is being given away by Sir Jackie Stewart to celebrate the 70th edition of the event.

"Fangio is a true ambassador of Formula 1 in Latin America and around the world," said Federico González Compean, general manager of the Mexican Grand Prix on the event's official website. "I am sure any driver today would love to have such an iconic helmet in his collection.
Juan José Carli, president of the Fangio Foundation, added: "He is one of the best drivers in the history of Formula One. His helmet represents a part of his legacy, and it is an honour to present it to the driver who manages to achieve the most honourable position for the Mexican Grand Prix."
