For the time being, the Austrian Grand Prix is still seen as the first Grand Prix of the Formula 1 season, but what will the sport do next? A conversation with the director of Silverstone does wonders.
According to Stuart Pringle, Formula 1 has enquired about the possibility of holding several races at Silverstone. Pringle previously said that the circuit is open to the ideas of the sport, but indicates in a new interview with The Guardian that there has also been talk with F1.

Double races at Silverstone

''F1 is working hard to find a solution to the current problem. We have a lot of contact with the organization and they have asked us if we could maybe organize two races behind closed doors. Our answer is definitely, because we are looking at all the possibilities'', said Pringle.
However, the question is to what extent this is feasible for Silverstone and especially the country. In England everyone is still in quarantine and the question is whether a race can be organised in July, with or without fans. For many teams it is easy to travel, but not all teams are in England. So to be continued.
