Perez starts British Grand Prix from pit lane

Sergio Perez will start the British Grand Prix from the pit lane. Red Bull has put a new engine in his Red Bull car and as a result may not take a seat on the grid. A new engine was also put in Perez's car on Friday.

It is most likely a tactical choice by Red Bull Racing. Perez had to start the race from 19th place anyway after a spin in Copse corner put a premature end to his qualifying. By sticking a new engine now, they may be able to avoid a penalty later in the season.

The British Grand Prix starts at 15:00 UK time today. George Russell starts from pole, closely behind are Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris. Verstappen starts fourth in the race at the Silverstone circuit.
