In a few years' time, there could just be two members of the Leclerc family driving in Formula 1. Charles' little brother Arthur is part of the Ferrari Driver Academy and will make his debut in Formula 3 next season.

Championship car

Next year, Leclerc won’t be driving in just any car. Prema Racing, for which he will be competing in 2021, won the championship with Oscar Piastri (2020) and Robert Shwartzman (2019). Last year Leclerc also competed for Prema Racing in the Formula Regional European Championship where he finished second in the championship.
Leclerc is very happy to continue working with Prema Racing in Formula 3. "It will be a completely new challenge for me, a lot more drivers on the grid and a weekend format that looks really exciting! I can’t wait to start the season”, says 19-year-old man from Monaco in conversation with Motorsport.com.

High-quality season

René Rosin, the team boss of Prema Racing, is looking forward to working with Leclerc. "He experienced a high-quality season in 2020, ending up with more wins than anybody else in the Regional championship. His skills come with a dedicated approach to the hard work behind the scenes, which is clearly what we are looking for at this level.”
