Ralf Schumacher believes Williams has been "a little too impatient" with Jost Capito. On Monday, Williams announced it was parting ways with the team boss with immediate effect, but Schumacher thinks the team could have given him a bit more time.
According to Schumacher, Capito should leave because he "did not live up to expectations", but in that case, he feels Williams' decision is hasty. Speaking to German Sky Sports, Schumacher therefore says he is surprised by the news, although he can also imagine that investors are not satisfied with the results achieved in 2022.

Schumacher finds decision Williams impatient

"I almost feel sorry for Jost," the former Formula 1 driver continued. "I think the management was a bit too impatient." Schumacher is therefore of the opinion that Capito could have been given a bit more time, after all, the German had only two seasons as team boss at Williams behind him.
Schumacher does not expect Capito to join another team immediately, although the position of team boss at Alfa Romeo has not yet been filled. The vacant position at Williams is likely to be filled internally, according to Schumacher.
