Russell says that 'Jos the Boss' after commenting on Verstappen's incident at the Spanish Grand Prix

The Dutchman looked to be on his way to a podium finish at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, but some late chaos put an end to that, with his collision with George Russell tumbling him down to P10.

That drop down the standings was due to the four-time world champion receiving a ten-second time penalty, with the incident also handing him three penalty points.

Those three points now mean Verstappen sits on 11, just one point away from a potential race as the F1 circus arrives in Montreal for the Canadian Grand Prix.

Although Russell was very fierce towards Verstappen immediately after the race in Barcelona, in the paddock in Montreal, he can now talk about it more lightly.

"He just tried to use his elbows to show who's the boss," Russell reflects back on the incident with Verstappen to the press.

"But he was wrong, because Jos is the boss," he adds. With this, the Mercedes driver naturally refers to Jos Verstappen's nickname: Jos the boss.
