George Russell's Hungarian Grand Prix qualifying came to an early end after the Briton was forced to pull over and park his Mercedes W17 on track for reasons that remain currently unknown.
The Briton endured a difficult qualifying session, reaching Q3 with only the seventh-fastest time, while teammate and championship leader Kimi Antonelli could do no better than fourth.
Russell was unable to improve on his final run after Max Verstappen spun just ahead of him, bringing out yellow flags and forcing the Mercedes driver to lift off.
Shortly after taking the chequered flag, the Mercedes driver was forced to pull over in the Turn 1 run-off area and climb out of his car, while Lando Norris denied Lewis Hamilton by just 12 thousandths to claim his first pole position of the season.
The issue was caused by a loss of water pressure. Read the full qualifying report here.
