George Russell crashed during the post-season test in Abu Dhabi. A red flag was waved because there was talk of a 'car stopped on track' but there appeared to be more going on there.
''Car 63 (RUS) stopped at turn 6'' could be seen around the screens in the paddock. On X, Motorsport.com's Ronald Vording revealed that there was indeed more to the story. ''A walk through pit-lane and it revealed a... crash. A bit more work for the Merecedes mechanics.''

And so it will be another long day for Mercedes mechanics hoping to get the car back on track before the end of the test. It seems Russell overshot Turn 6. The same corner where Sergio Perez and Lando Norris collided. On X, someone notes that the brakes may have caught fire, judging by the extinguishing foam on the front right of the car.
