Ross Brawn "very happy" for Nyck de Vries after Formula E opportunity

Ross Brawn is pleased that Nyck de Vries has finally got his chance in Formula E. However, after winning Formula 2, there was no space for him in Formula 1. Brawn has looked at the feeder series and the importance of building up the drivers in the junior series in the right way.

The main reason that De Vries didn't get a seat is thought to be money. The media don't build up the drivers in Formula 2 in the right way which means that it is hard for young talent to break through.

“One of the reasons why this is important is that we want to involve the fans in every stage of the drivers. They see their favorite names perform in a junior team and continue to move on, adding an extra dimension. That's why we try to get the drivers' attention in the media as much as possible," Brawn said to Motorsport.com.

Brawn is pleased that De Vries has got his opportunity to race in Formula E.

De Vries will hope to impress and maybe an opportunity in Formula 1 will open up in the future.
