During the final moments of the final free practice session of the weekend, there were two separate incidents by two rookies. One of them could lead to a penalty as well.
First with a minute to go in the session, Gabriel Bortoleto lost control over his Sauber car in Maggotts. The Brazilian's front suspension also broke, which leads to the team's mechanics having a busy couple of hours ahead of qualifying that is scheduled to begin at 15:00.

Bearman to the stewards

Under red flag conditions as he was returning to the pit lane, on its entry, Oliver Bearman lost control over his Haas, and also made contact with the wall. As a result, he lost his front wing, but could get back to his garage.

The Briton was also noted by the stewards for a red flag infringement, as he possible entered the pit lane too fast. He already received a penalty for a red flag infringement in Monaco, after he overtook Carlos Sainz. For that, he was handed a 10-place grid penalty. He will have to report to the stewards at 13:15 local time.
