Renault will switch focus to 2019 car if good form continues

Cyril Abiteboul suggests that Renault will switch focus to the 2019 season if they continue their good form this season. An early change of attention could make Renault a real contender next season.

They also won’t have the Red Bull distraction in 2019. Both their drivers finished in the points on Sunday’s Grand Prix which opened up a gap of 22 points over McLaren.

On the other hand, Renault are miles behind on 3rd placeholders Red Bull. Abiteboul spoke to motorsport.com about his teams' plans.
