Renault have been given a suspended €10,000 fine after a tyre mistake in FP1 this morning. The French team accidentally fitted Nico Hulkenberg's car with two front left tyres.
During FP1, Nico Hulkenberg broke down causing him to stop before making it back to the pits. Engineers are not allowed to fit different tyre sets to cars and must return two sets of tyres before the end of FP1.
Because of the breakdown, the tyres were not scanned meaning the problem didn't get spotted until FP2.
The €10,000 will only have to be paid if the team have another violation of the tyre rules before the end of 2018.
