Red Bull's Hadjar hit with fine after FP1 at the Hungarian Grand Prix

Hadjar was handed a €400 fine for speeding in the pit lane during FP1 of the Hungarian Grand Prix. The pit lane speed limit is set at 80 km/h this weekend, but Hadjar exceeded it by 3.8 km/h midway through the session.

Max Verstappen was on a flying lap in FP1 when he had to overtake Sainz instead of the Spaniard moving aside. Over the team radio, the Dutchman was angry.

He said: "Yeah, unbelievable, these guys. That was actually really dangerous, like he even slammed on the brakes." Sainz said he had no radio communication to warn him that the Red Bull driver was coming.

The stewards first noted the incident before announcing that Sainz would be investigated after the session for driving erratically. The two drivers will have to appear in front of the stewards at 14:50 local time (13:50 GMT).
