Yuki Tsunoda's disappointing Austrian Grand Prix continues. While the Japanese driver is the last standing Red Bull car, he is yet to make progress after a Q1 exit on Saturday, and also received a heavy penalty by the stewards. The Japanese driver attempted to overtake Franco Colapinto on Lap 31 into Turn 4, but he spun the Alpine driver around. Tsunoda immediately entered into the pit lane after the incident, ending up at the very back again.
Heavy penalty for Tsunoda
The FIA reviewed the incident and decided to hand Tsunoda a 10-second penalty for causing a collision. That sets Max Verstappen's teammate further back, after already being in P15 following his pit stop.
As a result, it seems like the Austrian team will not score any points at their home circuit.
Max Verstappen was eliminated on Lap 1 already after Kimi Antonelli locked up into Turn 3 and hit the Dutchman.
