Yuki Tsunoda will start the Spanish Grand Prix from the pit lane. The rear wing of the Red Bull has been replaced.

It has been a rather dismal weekend for Tsunoda up until now. Not once did he feel at home in Barcelona, always complaining of a bizarre excess sliding in his RB21.
During qualifying he reported the same issue. As the session progressed, the difference between the Red Bull of Max Verstappen and the Japanese driver were painfully obvious. Whilst the Dutchman competed for the top spots, Tsunoda was deeply rooted in the elimination zone.
Qualifying entered its dying moments with Tsunoda pressed to set in a lap, and when it counted, the lap time failed to come his way with the Japanese driver, again, sliding all arounc the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

P20 turns into pitlane start

As Tsunoda was already starting dead last, P19 due to Lance Stroll not part-taking in the grid following medical concerns, Red Bull has opted to change the rear wing specification on the Japanese driver's car, as well as make setup changes, all of these which, under parc fermé rules are subject to the penalty of starting from the pitlane.
