Red Bull secure ANOTHER one-two in FP2!

Red Bull have secured another one-two finish with Max Verstappen the quickest in FP2 and Daniel Ricciardo not too far behind his team-mate, but not without concern for the team - with Verstappen's RB14 losing its power late on in the session.

Verstappen and Ricciardo were the pacesetters in FP1; with a Red Bull one-two and it continued into the second session.

Lewis Hamilton set a strong lap early on, but Verstappen came out and his first hot-lap - he smashed Lewis' time by nearly a second - demonstrating the speed the Red Bulls possessed in Mexico.

Ricciardo was out just after for Red Bull and moved straight to P2; the RB14s were flying.

Ferrari soon sent their drivers out on hypersofts but a first corner lock-up for Kimi Raikkonen wasn't ideal and the Scuderia was looking tricky to handle, and the Finn informed his team that he "had a bad vibration".

Sebastian Vettel managed to move into second place - but still half a second off the leader Verstappen.

There was some tyre issues for Vettel, as well, with the German saying to his team "this is all I've got" and flat-out on the pit straight; it was very slow.

Meanwhile, Renault were running brilliantly - with Carlos Sainz moving up to second; quicker than Ferrari and Mercedes on the hypersofts with the latter saying "Renault have done something to the engine".

But Verstappen extended his advantage over the Spaniard to 1.2 seconds, with the Dutchman's first hot-lap on the hypersofts and Ricciardo quickly joined him going just 0.153 seconds slower than his team-mate.

Red Bull's dominance in Mexico was excellent to witness but Verstappen still wasn't satisfied; reporting to his team radio that the engine "was all over the place" and the Renault engine "wasn't doing it what it should be".

There was a problem for Red Bull, however, it looked like another reliability issue for Red Bull and Renault when Verstappen pulled up with 10 minutes to go; with the power being lost from the RB14.

The problem looked identical to Ricciardo's reason for retiring from the United States Grand Prix last weekend.

Verstappen may need a new engine and that could mean even more grid penalties for Red Bull.
