Red Bull Racing have outlined what they consider could be the repercussions McLaren driver Lando Norris will face for his collision with Oscar Piastri during the Singapore Grand Prix, according to Formula 1 pit lane reporter Ted Kravitz.
“They’re going to give Oscar Piastri the priority in all the qualifying sessions.”

The pit lane reporter, who investigated the mystery repercussions which Norris and several members of the McLaren team have acknowledged following the collision with Piastri, revealed how he reached out to multiple teams in the F1 paddock.
Kravitz stated that Red Bull Racing revealed the repercussion pertains to qualifying sessions for the remainder of the season.
“So I’ve asked Mercedes,” he began, “and they said, ‘We don’t know what the repercussions are,’ but I asked Red Bull, and they said, ‘We think the repercussions are they’re going to give Oscar Piastri the priority in all the qualifying sessions for the rest of the season. Oscar will be effectively treated in the qualifying sessions as the number one driver.”

During the Singapore Grand Prix, Norris and Piastri collided after the former made an audacious lunge on his teammate on the opening lap of the Marina Bay race. The incident left Piastri aggrieved, and the Australian wasted little time venting his frustration over his team radio.

Piastri failed to capitalise on Norris’ repercussion in COTA qualifying?

If the McLaren team’s repercussion for Norris’ move on Piastri in Singapore was indeed related to qualifying, it appeared the championship leader failed to capitalise on it.
During qualifying for the United States Grand Prix, the 24-year-old could only muster a sixth-place spot ahead of race Sunday. The Australian further offered a subtle but worrying assessment of his race weekend, stressing how he struggled to find his rhythm despite making no mistakes of his own throughout the weekend.
