Red Bull "not very good" on ultrasofts says Ricciardo

Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo is happy with the team's race pace but says that there's some work to be done on the performance when driving on ultrasoft tyres.
The Aussie was a second behind pace-setter Lewis Hamilton in FP2 as he finished with the ninth quickest time on the ultrasoft compound. If he has to lay a finger on where exactly it's going wrong, it's that the tyre wears too quickly.
"On pure performance runs, our ultra-soft performance wasn't very good," he said after Friday's action.
"We've used it twice today and I wasn't happy with it in both cases.
"It felt like I killed the tyre after the first sector already, and the lap time never improved after the first three or four corners.
"We were maybe two tenths quicker than on softs, and this are two compounds softer, so we need to understand what we have to improve."
When it comes to race pace though, the Aussie was content with the way his car behaved.
"The race setup is better than the qualifying setup, the long runs were more competitive.
The Aussie will hope to replicate the form he had in his home country of Australia, where he finished fourth but looked quick and aggressive. His race in Bahrain was one to forget, as he had to pull over after just two laps as his power went off and he was forced to retire.
