'Red Bull had to be very brave with strategy at Zandvoort'

The reactions to the Dutch Grand Prix were mixed. While everybody was enthusiastic about the atmosphere, the fans and the event itself, the race itself received a lot of criticism. The Grand Prix, which Max Verstappen won, was not the most spectacular. Still Marc Priestley found the race very entertaining.

In a new video on YouTube, the Brit says he especially enjoyed the strategic game that Mercedes and Red Bull were playing with each other.

Like many fans, Priestley saw that the Finn, who was officially announced as a driver for Alfa Romeo a day later, played an important role especially during his first stint; however, it was ithout success.

"Despite using Bottas as a pawn to get closer, they didn't get close enough. Red Bull had to be very brave and take risks with Verstappen to withstand all this. That was fantastic to see." Priestley, like most people, also praised the organisation and fans at Zandvoort.

"The event itself was fantastic. Very well organised. Despite the reduced capacity, they really made it a festival." Whether the race in Monza next weekend will also provide such an atmosphere, is doubtful. The number of fans allowed to attend is quite a bit less than in Zandvoort.
