Let’s take a look at the current weather forecast expected for the Interlagos weekend.
Last year, as often happens at Interlagos, heavy rain swept across the Autódromo José Carlos Pace, delivering one of the most spectacular comebacks in Formula 1 history, with Max Verstappen taking victory in tricky conditions.
This year, the Brazilian GP weekend could once again be influenced by rain — and with the championship battle now a three-way fight, wet conditions could shake up the standings even further.
On Friday — the day featuring the first and only practice session of the weekend, as well as the sprint qualifying that will set the grid for Saturday’s sprint race — the forecast calls for intensifying thunderstorms in the afternoon. Temperatures will peak at 27°C, with easterly winds of 10–15 km/h and a 40% chance of rain.

On Saturday, rain looks almost certain, with showers and thunderstorms expected throughout the day. Temperatures will reach a high of 25°C, with northwesterly winds of 15–30 km/h and a 90% chance of rain.
On Sunday, race day, the forecast predicts mostly cloudy conditions. Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 21°C, with south-southeasterly winds of 15–25 km/h and a 20% chance of rain.

What time does the 2025 Brazilian GP start?

Heading into Interlagos, F1 faces a fresh twist in the championship battle after Lando Norris’s standout performance in Mexico. The British driver dominated at the Hermanos Rodríguez circuit, crossing the finish line a staggering 30 seconds ahead of Charles Leclerc — the widest winning margin of the year so far.
Oscar Piastri endured a frustrating weekend, falling short of the podium yet again and seeing his championship lead slip away as Max Verstappen closes the gap in the standings.
