The Racing Bulls pairing of Isack Hadjar and Liam Lawson is aiming for redemption in Austria after a tough Canadian Grand Prix.
Hadjar and Lawson are heading to Austria this weekend after a pointless effort last time out at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Canada. Hadjar finished in 16th whilst Liam Lawson retired from the race.
The pair have taken motivation from the poor performance, with Hadjar feeling 'confident' before the race at the Red Bull Ring.
"We’re heading to Austria after a tough weekend for us in Canada. We still maintained a good pace on one lap, but we analysed everything with the team to understand what didn’t pay off in the race.
"It was also a very specific track layout, so I’m really confident in getting back racing in Europe, as I think we can deliver good results like we did in the first triple-header. There are a lot of high-speed corners and big braking zones at the Red Bull Ring, so I think we can be in the fight to try and get some points.”

After a difficult start to life with VCARB, Liam Lawson also goes to Austria with renewed enthusiasm. The New Zealander has scored just four points with Racing Bulls this season after his swift demotion from Red Bull.
It will also be his first apperance at the Red Bull Ring as a Formula 1 driver.
“It’s very exciting to be heading to one of our home races in Austria. I’ve raced here a lot in the past in junior categories and really enjoyed the track, but obviously, in F1 it will bring an entirely new pressure.
"I’m coming into this weekend with fresh energy following Canada and am ready to fight for points with the team.“

Are points on the cards for the Racing Bulls squad this weekend?

Tim Goss, the Chief Technical Officer of the Faenza-based squad, explained that the drivers have prepared well for the upcoming race weekend at the Red Bull Ring.
"Both drivers have had a productive simulator session in preparation for this race and we take forward some further setup adjustments to maximise the car's capabilities.”
