Piastri gives an update on his injury which remained secret during 1st win

Oscar Piastri is quickly rising through the popularity ranks in Formula 1. The Australian can now call himself a race winner, and in the second part of the season, he will look to help McLaren in their battle with Red Bull Racing. But for now, Piastri has enjoyed a summer of healing with his high-school sweetheart Lily Zneimer.

Earlier in the summer break, it became clear that Piastri won his first Grand Prix with broken ribs. The Australian shared an X-ray of the broken bone on Instagram. But it appears everything is now healed, following the caption in his latest Instagram 'photo dump'. "Sunned and healed. Ready for some more race cars," Piastri said.

Piastri enjoyed some sightseeing with his girlfriend, some tasty food and a bit of padel. In a few of the photos, the couple can be seen having a selfie together or walking through a residential area hand in hand.

Piastri will return to action, along with all of the other F1 drivers, in next weekend's Dutch Grand Prix. In recent races, Piastri has beaten Norris. Still, the British driver leads Piastri in the championship but has the chance to apply more pressure in the coming races.
