Sergio Perez says that the Red Bull Ring in Austria is a “fantastic place to go racing” but has also warned that if you don’t get a corner right, it could be costly.
Mexican Perez has fared well at the Austrian Grand Prix since it returned to the calendar in 2014, scoring points three times at the track.
The 2018 season has been rather more difficult for Perez, with not much to shout about apart from his podium finish in Azerbaijan. He has only finished in the top ten on one other occasion, in the very next race at Spain.
Perez will be hoping to return to the points in Austria this weekend and spoke about the track.
“The circuit in Austria looks simple but in reality it’s quite a difficult lap to get right.

“There are only a few corners, but each one is a challenge and can easily ruin your lap if you don’t hit your braking point or find the apex.
“I think everybody loves the beautiful location of the track. When the weather is nice it’s a fantastic place to go racing."
