Earlier it was reported that the British Grand Prix would be held with spectators. The organisors of the British Grand Prix together with Formula 1 have now officially announced that the race weekend at Silverstone will take place with spectators and that the maximum number of visitors will be admitted.

British Grand Prix part of research programme

"We are delighted to confirm that the British Grand Prix will be involved in the final phase of the UK Government's Event Research Programme (ERP), enabling full spectator capacity," reads a statement on Formula1.com.
Spectators must be able to provide proof that they received a negative test result less than 48 hours ago or that they have been fully vaccinated. The second vaccination must not have been administered less than 14 days before the race weekend.
Formula One president Stefano Domenicali says he is delighted with the news. "It's fantastic news that Silverstone can go ahead with full capacity. It will be an incredible weekend with hundreds of thousands of fans able to watch our first sprint race on Saturday and the race on Sunday," said the Italian.
