Lando Norris commented on the pit lane incident with Charles Leclerc during FP2 and reflected more broadly on his Friday in Singapore.
“It cost the team a bit of money, which is a shame”

The Brit first addressed the incident with Charles Leclerc in the pit lane, with the Monegasque completely ignoring the McLaren approaching on his right, ultimately causing the collision and damaging the nose of the MCL39.
“It cost the team a bit of money, which is a shame,” the Briton remarked briefly, before shifting his focus more to how his day had gone.
“Just a difficult day for me, not feeling too great with the car. I’m missing all the sensations I had here last year, so there’s plenty to work on. Just a bad day.

He finally added: “Oscar’s quick, so I’ve got nothing to complain about — I’m just not doing a very good job.”

Norris off the pace in FP2

After the contact with Leclerc in the pit lane and a front wing change, Norris rejoined the track along with the rest of the field to put in at least one flying lap on soft tyres.

However, while his teammate set the fastest time of the day with a 1:30.714, the Briton was unable to piece together a clean lap, finishing only fifth behind Alonso, Verstappen and Hadjar, and nearly half a second adrift of the Australian.
