Lando Norris has lived close to McLaren's headquarters in Woking for a long time, but he will now have to travel a little longer to get there. The Brit will, in fact, be living in Monaco.
Several drivers already live in Monaco, such as Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc. The McLaren driver has left Britain to live in Monte-Carlo as well, but he does not reveal the exact reason why. According to him, it would be better for his future to live there.
"There are probably drivers in the paddock who come to Formula One and make certain decisions because they expect their career to last ten years, but it could also last one or two seasons. Someone else in the world in my position would probably do something similar," Norris told Formulapassion.it.

Taxes?

Whether taxes play a role in the 22-year-old driver's decision is unclear. Many Formula One drivers buy a house in Monaco, in part because you don't have to pay taxes on your earnings there. It doesn't matter how high your salary is, because paying taxes is not necessary with any paycheck. The houses are certainly not cheap, but the offer is certainly attractive to Formula One drivers.
