Lando Norris has admitted that nothing will change in how he races Oscar Piastri despite McLaren clinching the Constructors’ title.
“It’ll just remain the same.”

The British driver, who, alongside Piastri, celebrated the success of the McLaren team in claiming their 10th Constructors’ title, was quizzed on whether this success would impact the way he races against his teammate. However, Norris was quick to shrug off talks about any change in their approach, insisting the status quo will be maintained.
“It’ll just remain the same, which is open to race. Nothing will change because we’re free to race and have been the whole season.”
During the Singapore Grand Prix, Norris and Piastri collided after the former attempted an overtake on his teammate. While Norris successfully completed the move, he suffered a slight dent to his front endplate, which had little impact on the outcome of his race.

Piastri, on his part, was left fuming over the team radio and requested that the position be given back. However, the McLaren pit wall explained that it was fair racing and that neither driver would be required to swap places.

Norris reacts to bold move on Piastri in Singapore

Norris earlier reacted to his audacious overtake on Piastri during the Singapore Grand Prix. The 25-year-old, reflecting on the event, labelled it as hard racing.
Norris subsequently doubled down on his words, stating that if anyone expected him not to go for such a gap, that individual maybe does not deserve to be in Formula 1.
The race in Singapore witnessed the championship battle heat up further, with Norris cutting the gap to Piastri to 22 points, with six races and three Sprints left on the 2025 calendar.
