Nico Hulkenberg has said that not all his decisions in his career were perfect but feels his move to Sauber from Force India at the end of 2012 was a bad choice looking back.
The German moved after just one season with Force India, in just his second season in the sport.
He raced alongside Esteban Gutierrez at Sauber, enduring a tough start before finding improved results following the summer break.
"
Not all the moves were right or perfect, that's the difficult thing in Formula 1," Hulkenberg was quoted by GP Today.
"You take a decision six or eight months before you get there and it's difficult to predict where things turn out.
"It's easy to say, but I think that change to Sauber in 2013, even though it was a much better half of the season, I think that move was probably not the best for my career."
The 32-year-old is without a seat in 2020 after being replaced at
Renault by Esteban Ocon.
