Entering the summer break, it seems like the title fight will be contested only between the two McLaren drivers. Out of the two teammates, Juan Pablo Montoya has a clear preference. After 14 rounds have been contested ahead of the current summer break, it is
Oscar Piastri who leads in the drivers' standings.
His gap ahead of his teammate,
Lando Norris, stands at nine points, after the Briton could cut the gap thanks to his victory at the Hungaroring a couple of weeks ago.
McLaren team principal Andrea Stella promises an exciting battle ahead, he stated during the press conference in Hungary.
"This makes it a great spectacle for Formula 1, this is what we wanted to achieve as a team, and I think it's going to be very interesting until the end of the season," he said.

Montoya wants Norris to win
The former McLaren driver himself wants to see the Briton to be crowned champion at the end of the campaign.
"I think Lando [will win the title]. In my house everybody wants Oscar, but I want Lando. I like Lando. I like both of them," he told a gambling site.
The British driver has won three out of the last four Grands Prix, but lost points to Piastri in Belgium. “I think Lando’s a little quicker and he’s developed some real steel recently. What Lando did in Hungary made me sure that Lando’s going to win."
Moreover, the Colombian was really encouraged by Norris' performance in Hungary, as he managed to turn sitting in third place into a victory on a one-stop strategy.
“Oscar had him covered all weekend. Oscar was better Friday. Going into qualifying, Oscar had the weekend in his hands. And Lando really stepped up through the race. He really stepped up and did the job in the race. He made the different strategy work. Everything is coming together.”
