Mercedes want to go carbon neutral this year!

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff says that the team want to go carbon neutral this season, following F1's commitment to the same target in 2030. F1 as a sport is taking more responsibility to produce cleaner fuels and overall be kinder to the environment.

With the current climate crisis taking headlines all over the world, F1 has often been looked at as a negative effect on the planet, with all the fuels being burnt not just in races, but in travel as well.

Mercedes have already started using renewable energy at their factory in Brackley and are looking to become totally carbon neutral by the end of this year!

Wolff told Eurosport: “We have taken the challenge on in trying to be net carbon zero in 2020.
