Toto Wolff was today adamant that a quick fix was not a possible option in the hope of getting Mercedes back to winning ways.
The team have now gone three races without a triumph, the longest in the turbo hybrid era.
“In Formula 1 there is never a quick fix,” said Wolff
“You can see how fast the picture can change in testing and in Melbourne.
“Here we go, three races in - we lacked pace.”

It was clear that Wolff had the team hunting for positives to try and find a glimmer of good moral as they wait for Baku.
“The whole weekend was not good for all of us - the only thing that I see positive was Valtteri’s race,” he added.
“That was awesome - no mistakes, unlucky with the safety car.”
But despite all the negatives in the team, Wolff remains confident that they can turn their form around heading into the European stint.
“We just need to stick our heads together, stay calm, get the head down and come up with some solutions.”
