The weekend in Bahrain did not start ideally for Max Verstappen The Dutchman spun, and experienced flat spots and understeer for the rest of the session. That's why he got stuck in sixth place in the final ranking. Now, however, there appears to be an additional problem in the form of damage to the floor.
Towards the end of the first free practice session it was clear that the engineers in the Red Bull pit box were working hard on the car of Verstappen. Most likely the Dutchman suffered damage to the floor.
The second practice session in Bahrain will start in less than two hours. It remains to be seen whether the car of Verstappen will be ready to go on the track again, to collect crucial data.

FP2 much more important

It is to be hoped that the Dutchman will be in the second free practice session, because it is a lot more important than the first one. The conditions on the track during FP2 are more similar to the conditions the drivers will experience during the race. What's more, the free practice is the perfect opportunity to test the prototype Pirelli tires set to be introduced in 2021.
