Max Verstappen has reiterated his intention to fulfil his Red Bull Racing contract, which expires at the end of the 2028 season. Despite being contracted, doubt has been cast over whether he will actually stay at Red Bull until 2028, but the Dutchman has confirmed he still intends to finish it. Verstappen said this to the French news agency AFP ahead of the race weekend in Mexico.
Following some internal problems at Red Bull, Toto Wolff did not hide his desire to sign Verstappen. Rumours also surfaced that the Dutchman could move to Aston Martin due to the arrival of Adrian Newey at that team.

Verstappen wants to stay with Red Bull for now

Verstappen, however, is not considering a move to another team. In fact, he wants to sit out his contract at his current team, Red Bull Racing. "That is clearly my intention," the Red Bull driver began.
The Dutchman went on to say that he has had no contact with other teams: "For me, the situation has never changed since I signed my contract with Red Bull. It is true that we have had difficult moments this year, but I have always been focused on finding improvements in the performance of the car. I am at Red Bull and I want to perform well. We want to get back to the top together and we want to win races again. We haven't been able to do that for a while."
