Helmut Marko has stated that reports about being in contact with other teams are "silly little rumours" that have been "mainly spread by the British press". "No. I'm not considering any other team."
The 82-year-old will leave Red Bull Racing at the end of 2025 after 20 years at the Austrian team, with the official news coming just two days after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, where Max Verstappen missed out on the World Championship by just two points to Lando Norris.
Now, after helping set up the team in 2005 to replace Jaguar and become one of the dominant forces in the sport, Marko will now depart.
"This season, I was the first, and then, along with Gianpiero Lambiase, the only one within the team who still believed in Max Verstappen's World Championship title," the Austrian stated to Kleine Zeitung.

"We were involved with great enthusiasm and commitment, and that's why it was such a huge disappointment when it didn't work out. This disappointment led to the decision that now was a good time to step down.
"[I step down] with good intentions. I'm leaving on the best of terms with Red Bull and will certainly be seen at the racetrack from time to time.
"I believe the team is very well positioned, and I'm certainly not leaving behind a chaotic mess. Everything fits together, and I'm sure we'll improve in some areas."
Marko slams British press
There was also some strong words from Marko regarding the British press.
It comes after several reports stated that the Austrian had been in contact with other teams, and that there had also been some junior drivers he had signef without Red Bull's approval.
"No. I'm not considering any other team; these are all just silly rumours anyway, mainly spread by the British press," was the response from the 82-year-old when posed with that question.
