Magnussen wants to beat Renault in 2018

Haas F1's Kevin Magnussen has set his sights on Renault, as the Dane thinks that the French team will be the toughest one to beat in midfield this year.
Renault themselves are aiming to comfortably finish fourth, but that will not be the case if Haas have anything to say about it.
"Renault is probably the strongest competitor in the midfield," Magnussen said earlier this week.
"I think we can match them, and to be fighting those guys should be our aim."
Magnussen currently sits in tenth in the championship, ahead of Renault's Carlos Sainz but significantly behind Nico Hulkenberg. It has to be said though that Magnussen was in fourth in Melbourne when a pitstop blunder meant he had to retire. If he would have finished that race, he would've been closer or even ahead of Hulkenberg in the standings.

"We were pretty uncompetitive at last year’s Grand Prix in Baku, but we capitalised on other people’s mistakes," K-Mag recalled to last year's race.
"I’m sure we’re going to be more competitive [this year], and hopefully we’ll be as lucky as we were last year, as well."
