Liberty Media and F1 have spoken about plans to host a Grand Prix in London, and Christian Horner believes these ideas are still firmly alive. In the current state of play, Silverstone has two Grands Prix left, 2018 and 2019 after a break clause was activated.
Could Liberty be trying to move the British Grand Prix onto the streets of London? Well according to Horner, talks are progressing between Liberty Media and the Silverstone owners but didn't say the idea of a London GP was gone.
"I think that there's a desire within Liberty to see a street race in London, and in an ideal world, we'd be fortunate enough to have both. But obviously, competition on the calendar is extreme," Horner said in a Red Bull media event.
"As seen from their discussion with Miami, they are potentially looking at different types of models for key markets, and I think why not have a race in London one year, a race in Paris another year?"
What do you think about that idea? A yearly city street race which cycles around the globe? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments section.
