Charles Leclerc’s woes at the Las Vegas Grand Prix have been compounded following a summons by the FIA stewards in the aftermath of the second practice session of the weekend. The Scuderia
Ferrari driver was found to be in breach of Article 26.5 of the
Formula 1 sporting regulations.
According to a statement issued by the FIA, Leclerc failed to replace his steering wheel and turn off the Energy Recovery System (ERS) following the abrupt conclusion of his FP2 outing.

The Monegasque driver, who had
topped the timing sheet during the first practice session of the weekend in Nevada, is expected to report to the stewards at 22:00 local time.
Leclerc’s second practice session ends in chaos
Leclerc’s outing during the second practice session under the lights ended in a far-from-pleasing manner.
The Ferrari driver suffered a late gearbox issue, which forced him to retire from the already chaotic session.
The 28-year-old, who was one of the early soft-tyre runners, had suffered a massive lock-up prior to the red flag that briefly stopped the session. The Ferrari driver also joined the queue of cars in the pit lane, hoping to get a push lap before the chequered flag.
However, any hopes of this were dashed by the gearbox problem. Leclerc could not shift the gears of his SF-25 car and was forced to park his car behind the barriers.
