Leclerc praises fiancée Alexandra, suggests next driver to get engaged

The 28-year-old announced his engagement to his partner through an Instagram post, and has gone on to praise her during a press conference ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix.

Leclerc said: "Yeah, I mean, I'm very, very happy. Obviously, it was a special week, full of emotions.

Leclerc continued: "They live the career just like we do, basically, the ups and the downs, and they support us in the best possible way, and Alex has done that since the very first day I met her.

The Ferrari driver also mentioned his dachshund, Leo. "Yeah, he doesn't really understand the ups and downs, but he's always happy."

Leclerc was first spotted with Saint Mleux during Wimbledon in 2023, alongside Alpine driver Pierre Gasly and his girlfriend.

Since then, Saint Mleux has become a staple in the Formula 1 paddock and has built a fanbase of her own due to her fashion and lifestyle content.

She has worked with major beauty brands like Rhode and Meshki, and boasts 3 million followers on Instagram.

The Ferrari driver also said that Gasly "will be next" and joked that he will put pressure on the Frenchman to propose to his long-term partner.
