Charles Leclerc detailed how difficult the campaign has proven to be for Ferrari, a worrying trend he does not expect to change.
“You don’t even see progression; it’s not easy.”

Leclerc has suffered from reliability issues on several occasions this season with mysterious power output woes striking at both Hungary and Azerbaijan most recently. In Singapore both drivers were forced to drive damage limitation races with brake issues hindering both cars the whole race.
Regarding his rocky 2025 campaign, Leclerc said after the race: “I wouldn’t describe it as the most difficult. Every time you’re not fighting for wins, it’s difficult.

“Coming from a year like last year, when you were fighting for the World Constructors’ Championship, and then you come here with high expectations but fall short of them from the beginning, and you don’t even see progression, it’s not easy.”

The 2025 campaign has indeed proven to be a difficult one for Scuderia Ferrari. The Maranello-based team have so far failed to clinch a race victory across the 18 races that have been held so far this season.

Leclerc: 'It's very tough, especially after a race like today'

Leclerc also touched on how he has managed his frustrations until now. The Ferrari driver admitted that, although it requires a lot of energy, it does little to demotivate him.

“It takes a lot of energy, but that doesn’t demotivate me. If anything, it motivates me even more to try and turn the situation around.”
“It’s very tough, especially after a race like today, where you’re not even fighting for a podium. You have to manage lots of issues; it’s just not a nice feeling.”
Leclerc has five podium finishes in his tally during the F1 2025 season, with his last race victory coming at the 2024 United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas.
