Charles Leclerc does not have an easy task ahead of him in Canada. Because of his engine change he has to start the race from the nineteenth position, so he will have to work hard to end up on the podium. Despite the difficulty, the Monegasque remains confident of a good result.
Leclerc was hoping to get closer to Max Verstappen again in the world championship last weekend in Azerbaijan, but due to engine problems he eventually had to abandon the race. Not only did it cause him to cede his second spot to Sergio Perez, but Ferrari was also working hard behind the scenes to solve the problems.
The Italian team decided this weekend to put an entirely new engine in the car, which means that Leclerc will have to deal with a grid penalty. Nevertheless, Leclerc thinks he will have chances in Montreal. "Everything is possible today. We starting quite far behind, but we've got the pace in the car. Overtaking is not easy, I believe in it until the end," he told Formula1.com.

Sainz starts from P3 in Canada

His teammate Carlos Sainz set a third time in qualifying on Saturday, leaving him with only Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso to beat. Ferrari will therefore be hoping for a good performance from the Spaniard, although it cannot be ruled out that Leclerc will fight back in Canada.
