Lando Norris has lashed out at the circuit management and the FIA after a recovery tractor was allowed on the circuit under safety car conditions. The Formula 1 drivers are making noises about this, acknowledging Jules Bianchi's crash at the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix when something similar happened.

Big issue

The recovery tractor was on the track when the safety car passed. But with Pierre Gasly not in the safety car trail, he was driving faster to catch up with the pack. The red flag dropped just before Gasly reached the tractor, but he didn't have time to react before getting to the tractor. Perhaps Gasly was driving too fast, and he has been sent to the stewards to talk about the issue, but the tractor took Gasly by surprise and shouldn't have been there.
The drivers are not happy about this mistake by the circuit management, race control and the FIA. McLaren driver Lando Norris has reacted to the problem with a tweet.
