It was announced a few weeks ago that from the start of the 2021 season Racing Point will become Aston Martin. It is a very exciting time for the team and could be exactly what is needed to catapult them into the top half of the grid. Lance Stroll is pleased with the business that his dad has done and believes that the Aston Martin brand will give the team a huge boost.
“It is my dad’s project. Obviously, I talk to my dad so we have spoken about it. It is very exciting and I think it is a great transformation for the team,” Stroll said at Racing Point’s launch ahead of his fourth season in F1 and second at the team.
“Right now, the car is still pink and we’ve got a season ahead of ourselves to focus on, so I am not going to go into the Aston Martin stuff just yet.
“But they are a hell of a brand and have got an incredible name.
“I think for everyone involved in the Racing Point team it is a big uplift and an excitement that should bring us more value. It is great in many ways.”

Racing Point will have to wait until 2021 before they link up with Aston Martin and will hope that the future of the team is one of success.
