Lance Stroll has expressed his views on the current Formula 1 rules. This comes after the incident between Lando Norris and Max Verstappen at the United States Grand Prix last weekend.
It remains a key talking point even though the F1 circus has now moved to Mexico. Many drivers have suggested the rules need to be clearer, while others have criticised the stewards system and suggested the sport needs permanent stewards.

What does Stroll think about the F1 rules?

Stroll starts by saying, "It is what it is," before explaining further. "It's probably a little too complex now. In the past, it was more simple," Stroll said in Mexico.
"If you had a portion of the car alongside another car, you had to leave the car width space. Now you've got to be in a certain position, next to the mirror, the axle, da-da-da-da-da. It's like racing has become like NASA, rocket science, so I think maybe how it was before was a bit more simple," Stroll reflected.

Yuki Tsunoda had a similar view. "I feel like they are expecting us to drive like a machine, like AI, and try to follow every driving rules or whatever. In the end, we're doing racing. That's why people watch it," Tsunoda said ahead of the Mexican Grand Prix. "It's battling between drivers. It's passion, trying to fight each other's passion, right? And if they remove that, it's just going to be like AI fighting."
