The Dutchman switched to mediums during his second stop, but aside from the tires, there was a familiar issue. In Monaco, the Dutchman had already commented on the gearbox.

The dry question from Lambiase, referring to a previous radio communication from Verstappen about a 'gearbox from 1973,' was heard over the radio.
"1973?", was the brief question from Verstappen's race engineer, to which the Dutchman replied: "Yes, maybe 1974 now."
