Intrateam relations are not the easiest to manage, and McLaren's Canadian Grand Prix clash marking a low point in the dynamics between Lando Norris Oscar Piastri, certainly didn't make things any easier. Nevertheless, the Aussie driver is ready to do anything to keep up the good vibes between both garages, even if it means hitting his teammate in the face. Norris comes to his home race weekend at Silverstone off the back of a rather commanding win last time out in Austria, where he managed to beat Piastri, albeit with a little extra help from the team perhaps.
The British GP weekend marks a home race not just for the Bristol native driver, but also for the papaya team, McLaren who are chasing down a home turf win after a significant dry spell.
The importance of the circumstances brought about an invitation to a Sky Sports F1 Show Silverstone special where Norris reflected on his time at the legendary British track and the good times that have come about in his time in F1 there.

Piastri offers to hit Norris in the face amid viral Ricciardo memory
"We always have fun here, especially with Daniel, I remember he hit me in the face."
Norris was referring to a space hopper race in 2022, where the former Red Bull and Renault driver with his 'driver' for the particular race, an inflatable ball.
To try and offer solace, perhaps, in the face of the absence of the comical moments Norris shared with Ricciardo, Piastri then offered Norris a similar showing of affecting to that of his countryman: "I can hit you in the face if you like!"
The two McLaren teammates come to Silverstone with a minuscule of 15 points separating them in the championship. Will the British GP open the gap further, or close it down?
