Isack Hadjar stole the spotlight during the Dutch Grand Prix for several reasons. The Racing Bulls driver secured a maiden podium and ended up breaking his trophy. The French driver has now reacted following his trophy incident at the Zandvoort race.
The 20-year-old, who started and ran much of the race in fourth place, saw his outing end on an even better note after he benefited from a mechanical problem suffered by Lando Norris, allowing him to finish on the podium. Hadjar then had to fend off the chasing pack of George Russell and Alex Albon to clinch his podium at the end of the race.
However, while he had enjoyed the spotlight for his largely impressive drive, things soon turned relatively sour for Hadjar. During his post-race celebration, he accidentally broke the third-place trophy he had been awarded.
The Racing Bulls driver subsequently took to Instagram to share his feelings after damaging his trophy.

Sharing a series of photos on his Instagram, Hadjar accompanied them with a caption detailing that he was pleased despite the damage to his trophy:
“Happy me with half a trophy! 🏆 Surreal day, thank you @visacashapprb ❤️”
It should be noted that Hadjar is not the first driver to damage a handcrafted trophy in recent Formula 1 seasons. McLaren driver Lando Norris experienced a similar fate after he damaged Max Verstappen’s trophy during the 2024 Hungarian Grand Prix.
