Over this week, Christian Horner was let go by Red Bull Racing, and replaced by Laurent Mekies. Former driver Ralf Schumacher believes there are some possibilities on the table for the Briton.
GPblog could previously report that Horner was already flirting with Alpine when he was still employed by Red Bull. While the Briton joining the team is conceivable, there is one hurdle that could make that switch difficult.
Moreover, Frederic Vasseur was also rumoured to be under pressure at Ferrari. Should the Frenchman be replaced by Horner, Will Buxton also argued then Lewis Hamilton would be leaving.

Ralf Schumacher sees options to be wide open

The German driver however sees these two options are very much present for the former Red Bull team principal.
On Smile 90.4FM, he began about Horner's future: "There is a good chance at Ferrari because for Fred Vasseur it seems to be that they're looking for a new CEO, and it looks like it because there's no patience at Ferrari. It would be a shame because Fred Vasseur now turned everything around, he has two drivers but obviously the management at Ferrari is not happy with him.
"So they contacted him, but there might be also Andreas Seidl, the former McLaren manager. So there's a good chance for him."
He also believes Alpine could be another possibility because of Briatore.
"And also Flavio Briatore, don't forget, he's also in for something because they have an interim. So yes, there's a good chance for him."
The German also still sees the qualities of Horner, who could also celebrate many successes with Red Bull. "And to be fair with Christian, he has had very big success with the team. He changed a few things and he made a mistake maybe, but at the end he's still very experienced and he's a good manager," he concluded.
