Horner reacts to Gasly's accusation: "It has been made very clear to him"

Red Bull announced this week that Pierre Gasly will stay at AlphaTauri. A decision that Gasly is happy with, but he expressed his surprise that Red Bull hasn't even considered bringing him back to Red Bull Racing.

Nor, according to the Frenchman, was it made clear to him why Red Bull took this decision. Christian Horner comes back to this in strong terms on the Friday before the race in Imola. "It's been made very clear to him", says the Red Bull team boss to RaceFans.net.

Horner believes that Gasly should not regard its position as subordinate. "He’s a key part of the AlphaTauri team. AlphaTauri has got different aspirations than that of Toro Rosso. It’s not just purely a junior team it’s more a sister team, as I’ve previously stated."

"We have all the information that we need on Pierre and I think he’s been made very aware throughout the discussions that his future has always laid with AlphaTauri simply because of the evolving nature of that team and the aspirations of that team.” said Horner, adding that Red Bull Gasly has therefore been committed for several years.
